About us

Basilica Grimbergen
Our radio club is part of the UBA, the Belgian amateur radio society, and is located in the village of Grimbergen, just north of the capital Brussels. The weekly club meetings are held at Mira, the observatory located in the town center. Grimbergen is mostly known for its abbey beer, and the basilica built in the 17th century.

As a club, we organize many activities related to ham radio. The yearly field day is definitely one of the highlights where you can hear us with our club call ON6NB. In winter, speakers from inside and outside our club are invited to give a presentation on a topic related to our hobby.

In recent years, the club started to organize DXpeditions within Europe. Trips to the following countries have been organized:

  • Liechtenstein (HB0) in 2012
  • Jersey (MJ) in 2013
  • Albania (ZA) in 2014
